It's ugly, and it's from Microsoft: the Zune

What was Argo has become the Zune: yes, it's Microsoft's "let's copy the competition" MP3 player, the weapon that'll knock Apple's iPod for six. Gizmodo has a report here, plus a picture.

Is Microsoft kidding? That's the ugliest MP3 player I've seen for a long while.

It's hard to believe that a company that actually makes half-decent keyboards and mice can come up with such a flat design. Maybe MS got the Vista UI designers to work on Zune too?

The name, Zune, is pretty overused too.

Surely Microsoft can do better than this?
