Finally, more information on the NZ UFB

crown fibre holdings boardI and most others have had little detail on what the government's Ultra-Fast Broadband or UFB project actually entails. We've heard a little bit about the speeds and Slingshot's early announcement with retail pricing for a 30/10Mbps plan, but more detail is always useful.

If you want more detail on the UFB, have a look at this story of mine in the Herald, and for business users, this story.

Before anyone says so, the retail pricing is very much an estimate that's likely to change as the UFB progresses.

Now if only we could have something like that today - I badly need faster upstream and imagine having 2.5Mbps committed information rate on a residential connection, let alone 10Mbps.
