Seagate photo and video competition for journos, snappers and bloggers

If you have some pictures and videos that you're proud of, you might want to enter them into the Seagate Precious Memories competition that's on at the moment.

Prizes in the photo category include a 1TB FreeAgent GoFlex Desk drive, and 500GB and 320GB GoFlex as well, plus cash to the tune of US$500, US$200 and US$100.

Winning videos are rewarded with the above external drives too, plus US$800, US$500 and US$200 respectively for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Winners in the local competition go into the regional one, with further prizes to be one. Check out the loot here.

Public voting decides the winners; two voters in each country (the competition runs in the APAC region) stand to win a GoFlex Ultra-Portable 320GB each.

Seagate says you have to be a journalist, photo-journalist or a professional blogger to enter. Somewhat annoyingly, the photos are limited to a maximum of 2MB, but the videos can be up to 20MB in size.

Entries close Sunday July 18, so there's not much time left.

Here's my contribution, a picture I took in Shanghai recently. Feel free to vote for it. Might stick a video up there too.

Good luck if you decide to enter the competition.
