Room service

Staying in hotels is often a surreal experience - usually enjoyable, but at times reality tilts. I came back to my very nicely appointed hotel in Brisbane yesterday, finding the room immaculately tidied up and with this card left on my bed:
Ah... hmm... not being a Humbert Humbert, for a few seconds I was baffled by the card, wondering what it meant. No, I didn't dial Extension 68 to find out.

Said Lolita did a great job of keeping the rooms in excellent order, so you would think the hotel owners would hire a slightly more sensitive copywriter for their cards.

Cleaning hotel rooms is hard work in case you wondered (I did it one summer when I was a student) so always make sure you leave some tip for the people doing it.
